Step 1. Create a new Google Calendar event. Click Add Google Meet video conferencing. Add participants.
Step 2. Click Change conference settings. On the left, click Breakout rooms.
Step 3. You can set the number of breakout rooms, then choose an option:
Step 1. When you are in a Google meeting, click Activities > Breakout rooms at the bottom right.
Step 2. On the setting page, set the number of breakout rooms. You can create up to 100 breakout rooms in a meeting.
Step 3. Call participants are distributed across the rooms. You can enter the participant’s name into a breakout room or drag and drop his/her name to move them manually. Or you can click Shuffle to randomly divide the groups.
Step 4. At the bottom right, click Open rooms.
During the breakout sessions, the meeting host can join any room to provide support or guidance. When you're ready to end the breakout rooms, you can bring everyone back to the main meeting room.
