Is there a way to automatically record Zoom meetings? This guide shows how to record Zoom automatically as a host or a participant.
Does Zoom record meetings automatically? Zoom allows hosts to automatically start a local or cloud recording when a meeting or webinar starts. Like other Zoom actions (such as the ability to mute and unmute participants), recording Zoom meeting automatically only applies if you are the host. How do you record a Zoom meeting once it has started?
It's important to note that you are unable to make Zoom automatic recording in the Zoom app for desktop or mobile, and can only be done in the browser. Here’s how to set it:
1. Open Zoom in your browser on your PC, and sign in to your account.
2. Navigate to the Settings tab.
3. Select the Recording tab at the top.
4. Scroll down and locate Automatic recording and toggle it on.
5. Select whether you want them saved to the Cloud or locally on your computer. (Free users can only use automatic recording on their local computer, you need to subscribe to record in the cloud.)
Once you start recording, you can enable the "Recording consent" function to let participants know that you are recording.
